For the 2021-22 school year, Independent Study is an optional educational alternative program, available to 9th-12th grade students throughout the district whose health would be put at risk by in-person instruction or who are eligible as per a speciﬁc need veriﬁed by district staﬀ.
Students meet with a designated teacher for one hour per week. Credits are earned through the completion of course contracts and/or online.
How does my student request Independent Study (ISP)?Top of Page
To request ISP, please click on the electronic submission form (see link in "Request for ISP Form") or you can request a hard copy from your student’s school of attendance. Upon receipt of the form, you will be contacted to schedule a meeting with the student’s school counselor where more detailed information about ISP will be shared including student’s rights regarding enrolling, disenrolling, and re-enrolling.
