Your Guide to High School & College ReadinessTop of Page
East Side Union High School District strives to ensure that all parents and students are well-informed on how to plan for success in high school and attend a college or university.
All of our schools are equipped to prepare your child to enter and meet the academic demands of college. At each grade level, counselors meet with all students to discuss personal and academic exploration, and refinement of career and college goals through a Guidance Plan.
East Side Union is committed to ensuring equal opportunities for all students in admissions and access to the district’s educational programs, guidance and counseling programs, athletic programs, testing procedures, and other activities. In addition, when exploring the possibility of careers and courses leading to such careers, counseling staff shall not differentiate career, vocational, or higher educational opportunities on the basis of the sex of the students. School programs and activities shall be free from discrimination, including harassment, bullying, and intimidation, on the basis of actual or perceived disability, gender, gender identity, gender expression, nationality, race or ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation, or any other characteristic that is contained in the definition of hate crimes set forth in Section 422.55 of the Penal Code. Discrimination also is prohibited based on a person’s association with a person or group with one or more of these actual or perceived characteristics.
