Student Behavior

| | The Student Support Services office administers the district’s inter-district transfer agreements and conducts expulsion hearings. The office is also the respondent for student referrals to alternative educational programs.
Foster youth and students in group home placement are assisted by the Student Support Services office with appropriate school placement. Students released from juvenile detention centers are required to contact the Coordinator for appropriate educational placement as well as support service referrals (anger management, counseling, etc).
The Student Support Services office also works closely with community organizations/agencies and the Parent Safety Council regarding student safety issues | |

| | Each school has developed a chart listing unacceptable behaviors and the consequences of those behaviors. During the first month of school, administrators, counselors or advisors visit classrooms and discuss acceptable and unacceptable behaviors. The charts are put in the student handbook and in many schools there are posters in every classroom.
