Resource Area for Teachers (RAFT)
Teacher Resources
| | The Resource Area For Teachers (the RAFT) provides a vital connection between the business community and educators so that industries' surplus materials can be used creatively to enhance children's learning and play. The RAFT is a non-profit organization serving teachers and community groups.
The RAFT provides teachers and community programs access to a vast array of materials along with ideas for their potential as teaching tools. A wide range of materials can be reused by the schools and communities, ranging from ordinary items like office supplies, computer accessories, and science equipment to unusual materials whose uses may not be obvious.
During a visit to the RAFT, a teacher can browse through the treasures and fill bags with armloads of supplies, as well as gather ideas and new skills. The idea is to get an amazing assortment of ever-changing overruns and extra material redistributed and into our classrooms and community groups.
