Online MentoringTop of Page

  • Inspiring Teachers assimilates a wide variety of tools, links, and resources for the benefit of beginning teachers. Through "Ask a Mentor," questions about teaching may be e-mailed to experienced teachers.
  • Teacher Mentoring is a mentorship training module for mentors of beginning teachers. It includes resources to establish and build effective mentoring relationships:
  • Teacher Quality includes classroom resources, research, and information for teachers.
  • Teachers Helping Teachers provides classroom strategies to beginning teachers, lesson plans, a teacher chat room, book reviews, and a registry of mentor teacher
  • CompuMentor - Non-profit organization specializing in technology asssitance for community-based organizations and schools

  • K-12 Alliance - A statewide organization dedicated to improving student performance and achievement in mathematics and science in California.
  • MathCoach - Elementary math program designed to help California students achieve proficiency with the new Math Content Standards.
  • California Foundation for Agriculture in the Classroom - Describes teacher resources and activities available to heighten the agricultural awareness of school students.
  • USC California Science Project (CSP) - Seeks to coordinate science instruction between grades and schools; seeks to increase instructional time allocated to science, especially in the lower grades; and seeks to assist teachers in implementing solid, well-defined inquiry-based learning in their classrooms.
  • Clean Air Challenge - Free workshops for middle and high school level educators from or near Ventura and Santa Barbara Counties.
