| | Adobe's "Teach the Teacher" program assists K-12 educators with how to use Adobe software products in their classrooms. The program began as a grassroots Adobe employee volunteer program to support our local schools. Courses are offered free of charge and focus on teaching educators to use Adobe products in order to bring technology to the classroom.
Bringing technology to the classroom can be defined in any number of ways -- for example, by providing teachers with time-saving ways to plan their course lessons so that they can dedicate more time to their students or by providing teachers with technology knowledge that they can pass on to their students to complete projects or programs.
Participants should already have general computer skills. These classes are designed to provide teachers with lessons on Adobe products, such as Adobe Photoshop, PageMaker, Acrobat, PhotoShop and InDesign. The courses focus on basic lessons which will enable a teacher to become beginning users of Adobe products. Participating teachers can earn free Continuing Education Units from Foothill College.
