Aspiring California Educators ---Are you ready to become an Administrator?
One option for receiving a California Preliminary Administrative Credential is to pass the School Leaders Licensure Assessment (SLLA), which is administered by ETS three times per year: January, June, and September. To assist prospective administrators in preparing for the SLLA,  ACSA is offering the Aspiring Educators (ACE) test preparation program. For more detailed information, contact the ACSA office below:
1575 Bayshore Highway
Burlingame, CA 94010
Phone: (650) 692-4300
Fax: (650) 692-1508
Toll-Free: (800) 672-3494
The SLLA is based on Interstate School Leaders Licensure Consortium (ISLLC) standards. It is designed to measure whether entry-level principals and other school leaders have the relevant knowledge believed necessary for competent professional practice. For more information, call TOLL FREE 1-800-241-5393

A note from the CTC, Commission on Teacher Credentialing for your information: "If you have anyone in your district who is attempting to obtain an Administrative Credential via the exam route, please make sure you tell them that the CTC ONLY ACCEPTS EXAM 1010 …… NOT exam 1011."

New Administrator Coaching ProgramTop of Page

The purpose of the coaching program is to promote the professional growth of new administrators and administrators new to their positions. This program is based on the “blended coaching” model that includes both facilitative and instructional components and collaborative, consultative and transformational strategies. This research based model includes a three day intensive training for our coaches as well as participation in ongoing networking sessions at both the local and regional level. The training is a joint project sponsored by the NewTeacherCenter and ACSA. This coaching is non evaluative and confidential so that there can be open and honest dialogue between the coach and the coachee.
