The East Side Union High School District is committed to providing its employees with graduate educational opportunities and currently provides certificated staff with a yearly Masters stipend of $1,523, and a yearly Doctorate stipend of $2,029.

(Note: All graduate programs are open to our colleagues in neighboring school districts. All tuition discounts apply.)

Ed.D in Education through Argosy University
Argosy University offers an Ed.D in Educational Leadership and an Ed.D in Instructional Leadership specifically tailored to faculty and staff in the East Side Union School District. For contact information, e-mail John Stofan, Director of Admissions: jstofan@argosy.edu

MA in Instructional Technology through San Jose State University
Date: First class meeting was Wednesday, August 22, 2007
Time: 4:00p.m.- 7:00p.m.

Anyone can still join the Cohort until September 12 by enrolling through SJSU Open University (http://www.openu.sjsu.edu/) or you can apply for admission to the program for Spring 2008 using http://csumentor.edu.

A few Q's and A's:
1) How long will it take me?  5 consecutive semesters; Start August 07 and graduate May 2009.
2) How much will it cost me?  At current graduate tuition rates = $1288 per semester (not including books, rate increases). Total estimated cost = $6,440.
3) What are the requirements?  The program is open to any qualified master's student. For admission to a CSU graduate program, the online application is available at http://csumentor.edu, the application fee was $55. Including your online application materials the Graduate School requires 3 letters of recommendation and transcripts in sealed envelopes.

Classroom Location
Room 804 which is alongside the staff parking lot. The school is located at Santa Teresa and Snell Ave. Address is 6150 Snell AveSJ, CA95123. The staff parking is on the Snell side of the school. Park anywhere within the designated lots, even near the classroom door.
