| | It is the intent of your professional development office to promote educational research on best practices being conducted by our colleagues in and out of the classroom, and to create a process for disseminating lessons and strategies that support academic achievement for all students. Below is one of many opportunities coming your way:

School Plus/Impact II Mini Grant Mini-grants up to $550 are available for individual teachers or teacher teams who wish to develop innovative and creative classroom lessons that they are willing to share with other teachers. Click here for contact information, FAQ's, and the 2007/08 Grant Application. Deadline is June 15, 2007!
Teacher Innovation Grants The San Jose Education Foundation is providing grants for teachers to create "memorable, interactive and enhanced learning experiences for their students." Many of our teachers at East Side have been recipients of this grant. Grants of up to $500 ($750 - $1,000 for a Collaborative Grant) The application process is completed online. There are three grant types: Individual, Collaborative or Field Trip Innovation Grants. The next application deadline is December 14, 2007.
