| | The East Side Union High School District encompasses a 180 square mile area of San Jose, bordering on “Silicon Valley” in Santa Clara County.
It is one of California’s largest high school districts (grades 9–12), with an enrollment of over 24,500 students, at 18 high schools:

The district also administers an Adult Education Program that serves over 26,000 adults.
East Side Union High School District employs: - 1,199 certificated teachers

The East Side community has a population of over 434,000, rich in racial and cultural diversity. The student population is multi–cultural and is comprised of: - 42.4 % Hispanic

The community has a tradition of involvement and interest in its schools. It is considered an ideal community because of its appealing climate, convenient geographical location and proximity to cultural centers and numerous institutions of higher-learning.
