Eddie Garcia, Vice President
Vice President Eddie Garcia
| | Personal Eddie García has worked in politics, business, education, and with community-based organizations for over two decades. He is a native of San Jose's east side, and a graduate of Alum Rock Union School District schools, James Lick High School, and San Jose State University. At SJSU, Eddie earned a place on the Dean's list in the History Department. Eddie is married to Sandra Peralta, a Principal in the Alum Rock Union School District. She is a graduate of Silver Creek High School and San Jose State University. Eddie and Sandra have two daughters: Twelve-year-old Marisa and nine-year old Erica.
Professional Eddie is the Vice President of Government Affairs for Comcast Cable Communications in the Bay Area. He is responsible for developing Comcast’s government affairs initiatives and maintaining corporate communications with Members of Congress, State Legislators, and local elected officials who represent the Bay Area. He is a member of the Comcast Executive Leadership Forum. Prior to his career in the telecommunications industry, he was the legislative assistant to former San Jose Vice Mayor Blanca Alvarado, served as campaign manager for Alvarado’s successful election to the Santa Clara County Board of Supervisors, subsequently worked as senior policy advisor to Alvarado at the Board of Supervisors, and served as a key advisor to Alvarado on political and community issues. He continues to serve as an advisor to several elected officials throughout Santa Clara County.
